Loving this weather!

We have been soaking up all of this beautiful weather like crazy lately. Not that we've had a bad winter at all. In all reality we could use A LOT more rain, but since that isn't happening we are enjoying what we have. Lucas is still a scooter king and is constantly making my heart stop with his fearlessness. We were out for a walk the other afternoon and he rode right up to Matt and grabbed his hand. Matt then pulled him a long. It was a melt mommy's heart kind of moment.

Each day we love to see what kind of hair style Caleb wakes up with. He always seems to have crazy bed head. This particular day he woke up with quite the mohawk. Oh, and he also decided to be a big boy and sit at the little table with Lucas for a snack.

And have I mentioned that we now live with Batman?! Ever since Lucas got this awesome Batman shirt with cape he has wanted to wear it every chance he gets. We now have our very own super hero!

The nice weather means mornings out in the backyard enjoying milk, tea, and playing. It's one of the best times of the year.

Notice the Batman shirt again?! Still crossing our fingers for rain but in the meantime we will enjoy the sunshine!

12 Months Young

Three posts about my sweet boy turning one isn't too many right?!? I don't think so! ;)

This little guy in his 12th month of life...
started crawling on his hands and knees
loves putting everything in his mouth
loves to swing at the park
is infatuated with watching his big brother be silly
loves cars, trucks, trains, and anything with wheels
loves building blocks
says Dada but not Mama (I try not to take it personal!) :)
and is an absolute joy to be around.

Here are just a few pictures from our family celebration on his actual birthday. He loved playing with his new wooden blocks, and I think they've become his favorite thing to chew on. Good thing they are totally safe for that... I highly recommend them from Smiling Tree Toys on Etsy.

We had dinner, opened presents, sang happy birthday and had cupcakes. He tasted the frosting and wanted nothing to do with it. I guess he prefers blocks over cupcakes. It was a special night for all of us, and a great way to celebrate Caleb.

{That smile!}

Lucas is thinking... "They think this truck is for Caleb... but it's mine, all mine!" haha

So for the last time this year... Happy 1st Birthday my sweet boy. You light up my life!

Happy 1st Birthday Cal!

To my sweet Cal Cal,

Happy 1st Birthday! I always say that time goes too fast, and this year is no exception. You have grown from a tiny, cuddly newborn, into a smiley, happy, little one year old. You are the sweetest baby and have been since day one. Laughing and smiling at everyone, you are so loved by everyone who knows you.

Each morning I look forward to your sweet grin greeting me when I come into your room. I feel beyond blessed to be your mommy. Your big brother loves you so much, and the two of you laugh so hard together my heart could just burst.

I love you so much my handsome little guy!!!

xoxo, Mommy

Could he be any cuter?!?! Love you!!

Caleb's Baseball Bash!

I still can hardly believe that my little Caleb is one! I had so much fun planning and preparing for his first party. Matt made me promise I would tone it down in comparison to Lucas' first birthday, and I did, somewhat. ;) I still couldn't skip out on all the fun details. Thank you to my amazingly talented bestie, Danielle, for helping and designing his super cute birthday printables!!
We indulged in some classic baseball park food from hot dogs to nachos, peanuts, and even baseball helmet sundaes. Caleb wasn't into his cake at all... either was Lucas at his first birthday. What is up with these boys?!? They must get their lack of sweet tooth from Matt, because I am all over the sweets!

Here's to my little slugger... hope you enjoyed your party as much as we enjoyed celebrating you!!!

I can't forget to mention that he crawled on his hands and knees for the first time during his party! He has been doing his own version of army crawling for the past month, and then at his party decided it was time to take his crawling to the next level. Lucas crawled on hands and knees for the first time at his first birthday party as well... apparently they need a crowd to show off for. :)

We love you Cal Cal!!!
