Spring is upon us and there is no better reason to bring Lucas's awesome teachers flowers than to say, "Happy spring! We appreciate you!" I had a fun idea to include a little science project in with our gift giving. Once we put Caleb to bed, I explained to Lucas how flowers drink water, and if we change the color of the water, when the flower drinks it, the flowers will change colors too. We did some color mixing to get the colors we didn't have (another great learning opportunity), and put the flowers in the colored water for about 36 hours. The morning of his Easter party we put them in some mason jars with ribbon, and he gave them to his teachers to wish them happy spring!
His silly dance! Always making mommy laugh.
The finished product. The picture doesn't show the colors very well, but you get the idea. Lucas loved watching the changes over time.
I was able to stay at school with him that morning and help with his Easter party. I love school parties. I loved them as a teacher, and love them even more as a parent. The excitement the kids have is so contagious.
Who wouldn't love a bunny PB&J?!
Egg hunt!
Hiding the eggs for all of the kids was fun, and as expected they loved egg hunt.
Enjoying some chocolate from his egg hunt.
These preschool years have flown by, and in just two short months we will be saying goodbye to our beloved preschool. I can't believe that time is near. Enjoying every moment until than!
