Two Months Young

Our sweet Caleb is two months young as of Saturday. He is full blown smiling and has his big brother so excited with each grin he sends his way. Lucas loves making Caleb smile, and we all love watching.

Isn't this just delicious?! He is so scrumptious! 

Happy and healthy! What more could this mommy ask for?! Okay, maybe a goodnights sleep, but that's all!

Scenes From Our Weekend

We had a busy and beautiful weekend. The sun is shinning, and although it's a little too hot for this early in spring, I still love it.

Caleb is full of smiles these days. This has to be one of my favorite baby phases, when they start smiling. Lucas was talking to Caleb the other day, Caleb gave him a big smile, Lucas looked at me excitedly and said, "Mommy, mommy! He's smiling, he's smiling!" It made my heart happy to see how excited this made Lucas.

This weekend we celebrated my niece, Mackenzie's, 5th birthday. Lucas loves his cousin, and affectionally calls her "My Kenz."

After the party at the park, we headed out to bowling for more celebrating, and for Lucas's first time bowling. He talked about going alllllll day and was so excited when we got there. He played four frames, and was over it, but loved ever minute. :)

They shut off the lights, turned on black lights, blasted the music, and glow bowling was in full effect. Kenzie and Lucas went nuts dancing together. Everyone enjoyed watching them.

These Two

I, like many moms, wondered how I was going to love another child as much as I love my first born. It's amazing how your heart and soul make room, and how it feels like you've always loved them both.

One Month Young

As of last week my little Caleb is one month old young. When I was taking photos to document this milestone I couldn't help but get a little emotional. Shocking, right?! This momma is always emotional! :)

This month just flew by! And not in the regular sense of "where has the time gone?" but in the sense of I feel like I gave birth, blinked, and the month was over. With your first born you have the time to literally cherish every waking moment with them. With your second, you don't have that same time. Life is busier. It's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I find myself stealing moments with Caleb every chance I get to just take in all his sweetness, as he seems to be growing at an alarmingly faster rate than Lucas did. I breathe in that sweet newborn smell, and pray it sticks around as long as possible. I love the way newborns smell. If I could bottle it up I would. Here is my sweet Cal... one month old... already.

Scenes from our weekend...

This weekend was packed full of celebrating with family and friends. Saturday included my sister in laws bridal shower and a birthday party, and Sunday of course was Easter!

Only two more months until the wedding... can't wait! :)

It was so fun filling two Easter baskets for my boys. Lucas was really into the egg hunts this year and was excited to see what the bunny filled his basket with. Caleb slept through most of the fun, but Lucas sure enjoyed showing him his new toys.
