Grammy Vicki invited us on a trip to the Oregon Coast. We stayed in Depoe Bay, and also visited Newport and Lincoln City. This was our first time there, and we all had so much fun. There is a ton to do, plus many delicious restaurants. Anytime we go on a trip Lucas asks if there is going to be an aquarium, and if we can visit it. Luckily for him this time there was. Our first stop was visiting the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport.
We spent lots of time playing at the beach, building sand castles, flying the kite, and swimming in the heated pool.
Grammy Vicki found some black berry bushes and Caleb and I frequented them often for a snack.
On our last full day we visited Regatta Park in Lincoln City. This park is on a little lake and was so magical for the kids. They hand a blast running all around, crossing bridges, going in tunnels, climbing, and swinging.
The last night we were there we walked down to the beach to play and look for rocks and seashells. We were greeted with an amazing show of whales during the sunset. We all knew it was for sure Grandpa Dude saying hi to us, and that he was with us in that moment.
We all look forward to going back one day.
