Lately it has been way too hot outside to do much! This makes the afternoons difficult, but the mornings a blast. We get out of the house as early as we can to play outside before the heat can take us alive. Lucas's favorite thing to do right now is go to the park and play in the water. If we aren't swimming next door with our neighbors, then we are splashing in our sad cute little pool.
It has been amazing watching Lucas grow this summer. He has learned so much and is talking like crazy. Just this morning on our walk to the park her said, "I see a garbage truck! Look, over there!" Ummm excuse me?!? When did he get so big?!
He never says yes... it just doesn't seem to be part of his vocabulary yet. It's not that he always says no, but if his answer is yes he says OKAY instead of yes. His OKAY is like a drawn out irriated, "OooKaaaayy," which cracks me up. We are working on yes please instead of okay... it's not sticking quite yet.
Even though our pool is small and a bit sad (it was perfect for him last year), we still manage to have lots of fun! Everything he does he wants me to do too... there will be no evidence that I have slid down this slide into this tiny pool. After swimming at his friend Sawyer's house in her awesome blow up pool, Lucas thinks his pool is pretty pathetic. We've promised to upgrade his pool next summer.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
xoxo, Kara
